For most suppliers, it is possible to reissue a SSL certificate. A reissue is recommended when the private key has been compromised, or when a current certificate needs to be replaced.
Follow the steps below
Log in to your account on our website: https://www.networking4all.com/en/login
Navigate to "SSL Certificates".
In the list with certificates, search for the certificate and click on the icon (Replace) to start the reissue process.
Please note: When a certificate can be renewed (90 days before the expiration date) click on the icon (Renew this product). The SSL certificate will be renewed and the time left will be added to the new SSL certificate. After clicking this icon, you will enter the regular order process.
On the tab "Replace certificate", fill in the new CSR. If you would you like to replace a certificate based on the existing private key, copy the current CSR from the tab "CSR" and paste it into the form field on the tab "Replace certificate". Click the "replace certificate" button.
What happens next?
After the reissue of the SSL certificate has been requested, the domain name validation process needs to be completed again. If this validation is successful, the CA will issue the new certificate.
Why reissue an SSL certificate?
There are several reasons for requesting a reissue. For example:
- Reinstalling a server.
- When you lost the private key, the private key is compromised or stolen.
- Your SSL certificate is based on an old encryption algorithm (SHA1)
