In order to install an SSL certificate in Plesk 10, 11 and 12, you need to have generated a CSR and requested an SSL certificate. Please read the manual Generate a CSR in Plesk 10, 11 and 12 for more information.
The SSL certificate will be sent to you by email after the request has been processed, but can also be downloaded through your account on the Networking4all website.
In order to install an SSL certificate in Plesk, you must first create a bundle file out of your intermediate and CA certificates. Open a new file in a text editor such as Notepad. Open the intermediate certificate or certificates and the CA certificate or certificates and paste these into the new file in the following order:
Save this file as a *.crt file.
The installation of an SSL certificate in Plesk is done in the Plesk control panel.
After logging in, go to the tab ‘Websites & Domains’. Select ‘SSL Certificates’.
Choose the certificate you wish to install.
In the field ‘Certificate’, select your SSL certificate to upload.
In the field ‘CA Certificate’, select the bundle file that you just created to upload.
Return to the tab ‘Websites & Domains’. Select the certificate you have just installed, and check the box for the option ‘Enable SSL Support’. Click ‘OK’ to save your settings.
