In order to install an SSL certificate in DirectAdmin, you need to have generated a CSR and requested an SSL certificate. Please read the manual Generate a CSR in DirectAdmin for more information.
The SSL certificate will be sent to you by email after the request has been processed, but can also be downloaded through your account on the Networking4all website.
The installation of an SSL certificate in DirectAdmin is done in the DirectAdmin control panel.
Go to Advanced Features > SSL certificates and click on the appropriate domain name.
Click on ‘paste a pre-generated certificate and key’. A new window will open with an input field, with the private key already filled in. Copy and paste the contents of the SSL certificate file underneath the private key. Click ‘save’.
In some cases, the root certificate must also be added. For this, scroll down, and click on the link ‘Click here to paste a CA root certificate’ under the input field. Copy the entire contents of the CA bundle file, paste it in the input field Certificate Authority SSL Certificate, check the box for the option ‘Use a CA Cert’ and click ‘save’.
